OXO update to R6

I have a OminPCX OXO in my enterprise, I think that the version are the R4, I want to use Voip with the pc's and voip phones, my distributor says that are very expensive to upgrade to version 6.0 to use sip because they say that with the version R4 only h323 comunications are available. The upgrade cost to me 4000 €uros (aproxly 4400 $) for 4 ip phones, the upgrade and the configuration.

My question are if this price are correctly?

ask your dealer the detail of the offer.
I suspect you have to pay the high price because of the VOIP licenses.

You should better try an external gateway like Patton, it's less expensive.

You just need IP phones???Alcatel IPtouch works over OXO release 4.0 so it won´t be necesary to upgrqade OXo to release 6, just the hardware and licenses if you dont have it, in the case that you need SIP trunks, just in that case you must upgrade OXO otherwise it won´t be necesary.
