Synchronization Issue

Post by gundam »

Hi,

I am getting an error message when running a full sync:

Error while synchronizing MIB

Any idea why?

Try to read the logfiles under \4760\log\
And the name ar somthing like SyncPBx.... I don't remember.

Check if you can do a ftp-connection to the 4400, mib-sync uses ftp.
Check the ftp username/password in Directory->Technical.

Also check if the subnet and pbx have the correct networknumber and nodenumber.

I would guess that it's one of these things. Ftp problems or wrong node/networknumber.

Good luck!

Error message: The system is not fully not loaded

Ok, I just received the solution from the NOC...

If your network is 0
If your subnetwork is 0
Then the node number has to be 00# (with # for the real node number).

Thanks to the VZ NOC !

Just learned something else.
If you have 2 4760, this might be an issue for the synchronisation (for example, if you do a COMPLETE one, it might fail). I worked all night on a case, when we finally turned off the 2nd one and it worked... Good to know !

This is only true for releases older than 3.0.
For 3.0 and newer you have to use just #, NOT 00#. :)

Why do it the easy way, when you can do it the french way :)
