4760 configuration errors.

Post by CoastHills »

Whenever I try to run a synchronization or a backup the system errors out, there seems to be something wrong with the network number and subnetwork number but even when I delete all the information out of the technical directory and rebuild I still get the same problem.

Try this:

If the PCX is in network 0 and Node 4.

When creating the 4400 node in 4760: check if the subnetwotk is 0 and node is 4.

if not you might have issue.

Double check

double check that what your system says in netadmin option 2 (network # node #) is also what it says in MGR/System
That has to match whatever your subnetwork and node say in 4760.
What version of 4760? The older ones need you to do some trickier stuff sometimes.

4760 mostly all better

Had to make my subnetwork number match the network number, the actual network number in the 4760 does not match. I think I remember something about that in class.

Remember 4760 Networknb. you can choose whatever you want.
4760 Subnetw.nb. MUST match the 4400 networknb.
4760 Nodenb. = 4400 nodenumber.

4400 nodenumber = Netw.nb*100 +nodenb.
If you have network 2 and node 4, the nodenumber = 204 (2*100+4)
