Port security on VM Servers

Is it advisable to apply port security towards VM servers?
I do see a list of learned Mac addresses from the VMNICs and if the list is static bridged, when it fails over, it will be violated. Need help on this. Thanks.

1 should be the default. Most of our switches are configured with port-security and we leave the max at the default, which blocks more than one MAC.
