Hi everyone,
I have a customer with one OXE and about 150 OXO. I need to connect all PBX in IP. I follow the tech TC0584 that explain the link through one OXE and one OXO (and this works fine). I would like to connect all the OXO with the OXE and use the OXE like a router (star system). I know that I can connect all OXO together, but this involve that every time I add one machine, i have to configure all the others. If I use a star system, I need to configure only one node and the star center.
The OXE, obviously is the major node, with the greater resource, and the node where all the other need to call, normally.
I've tried in my laboratory, but I'm unable to route the call from one OXO to another one.
How I have to work?
Thank you.

Re: connections OXO - OXE - OXO
In my opinion the first thing you have to do is to have different numbering plan to every OXO. Then you can program all the extensions of the OXO as abbreviated (possibly incomplete) number in OXE. This way when a call comes in to OXE from OXO (A) it will be routed to OXO (B).

Re: connections OXO - OXE - OXO
When you call from one OXO to another OXO you may use speed dials.
For instance 1000 (which belongs to OXO2) will, be a speed dial as 1000 in OXO1 but will dial 001000. We suppose that the first 0 is trunk group seizure to OXE and the second 0 is trunk group seizure from OXE to OXO2.
You need to configure joining between networking trunk groups in OXE (that is a Connection Category - CC set to 1 between all of them) and also Public Network Category assigned to a TG able to dial all the others. Also DID transcoding (if you use ISDN or VoIP TG) in accordance to the numbering plan designed by you (automatic or manual).
This is a simplified way of doing it. hope it gives you an idea about how to configure such a configuration.
