Using an ALCATEL, PREMIUM REFLEXES, OMNI PCX OFFICE VOICE MAIL
I suddenly now see the message light blinking when there are no messages.
I also noticed that the prompts for creating/changing personal greeting are not offered/heard.
the prompts just repeats that I have no message.
I would love to hear from someone who may know how to correct.

May be you have - not answered calls (or not deleted)?

Thank you Frank but there are no messages, I've cleared them all including archived messages.
Still have blinking light.
Tried unplugging the phone cord for a short time then reconnecting...still the light blinks.
Perhaps I need to get another phone if we have one to see if the blinking message light continues.
What a pain because I have to check the phone for messages every time I step away.

If you unplug the phone, it's not going to do anything.
The phone is a dummy terminal. It gets all its info from the OXE. Somewhere in the OXE, it says that you have something.
Another phone won't change anything. So you are confirming that :
- There is NO new voicemail
- There is NO missed call
- There is NO text message sent (from another phone)
- There is NO call back

What version of OXE are you running?

Ah Hah! I was given the solution from someone that may have had a manual or they are a genius .
What seemed to cause the message light to blink yet no messages are acknowledged seems to be from Text Messages!
I can clear them and stop the blinking message light now by doing the following:
Pick up the receiver.
1. Press the " Mail/Envelope" icon button (between buttons "REDIAL" & "END").
The display will show the number of texts received so the following may need to be done repeatedly until all texts are gone and message light stops blinking, Yeah!
2. Press Menu (shows which mailbox is being accessed).
3. Press the button with the + sign which controls volume on speaker (yeah...that's right).
4. Press "Listen". (shows you the message).
5. Press "listen" again (dials the number)
Hang-up (message light should be gone)
Repeat as needed.
