Dear all,
My boss gave me an omnistack6224p to establish a lan, i found its manual, i made its console port. I think it is new.
I connected 2 pc with proper ip, their led changed to green-red color, but ping request between them replayed “ destination host unreachable”. The ip range and computer name and firewall have not problem.
For solve the matter i have a basic question:
Whats the procedure to use a 6224p switch in a simple lan? Is it necessary to activate or enable the switch ports, some thing like that?
I will appreciate any advice.

Excuse me, the mention led color was green-yellow, as normal color.

maybe it was not brand new and had been configured with vlans. Did you factory reset it prior to trying ?. If not, do it an try again.
(I assume you double checked lan cables, and the like, did you ? ).
