Hello,
Hopefully for you, your system is storing accounting tickets.
If so, you can telnet to the system and do the following:
Code: Select all
(198)node98> cd /usr4/account/
(198)node98> ll
total 184
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 13 Dec 5 09:49 ACCOUNT.LIS
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 112320 Jul 20 11:00 ASCFILES.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 0 Dec 5 09:49 BUFFER.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 0 May 12 2006 EXTACCTR.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 0 May 12 2006 FRAC.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 0 May 12 2006 FRCC.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 0 May 12 2006 FRDA.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 0 May 12 2006 FREPORT.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 0 May 12 2006 FRTG.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 24 Dec 5 09:49 IP.LIS
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 64 Jul 20 11:00 IP.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 493 Jul 20 10:14 IPASSXP.DAT
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 953 Jul 20 11:00 IPASSXQ.DAT
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 39 Dec 5 09:49 MAO.LIS
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 96 Nov 12 15:14 MAO.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 514 Nov 12 12:04 MAOASWZP.DAT
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 456 Nov 12 13:01 MAOASWZQ.DAT
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 1426 Nov 12 15:14 MAOASWZR.DAT
-rw-rw-r-- 1 mtcl tel 366 Nov 12 10:11 TABJUSTIFM.dat
-rw-rw-r-- 1 mtcl tel 1024 Nov 12 10:11 TABJUSTIFM.idx
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 967 Jul 20 11:00 TAXASSXK.DAT
-rw-rw-r-- 1 mtcl tel 7 May 12 2006 VERSION.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 0 May 12 2006 freport.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 mtcl tel 11360 Dec 5 09:49 stack.trc
(198)node98> accview -tf TAXASSXK.DAT |more
Look for the applicable accounting ticket (TAXA.....) based on the time it was created (written by the system)
Using the accview -tf command will view the ticket for you ( '|more will view page by page)
Good luck

The repetitive process of getting, processing and importing the logs will take you very much time... but it's your time not mine
Alternatively you can use a call accounting software that cand talk with Alcatel via IP, there are not so many.
It seamns that you can use the free version of
PbxTools PhoneJournal - Call Accouting. If I remember well it will show you only the last 100 calls but i will not expire and this is quite cool.

Correct - sorry I was thinking you were only trying to track one particular call.
For real time accounting you can use either Serial or TCP.
You can also use Omnivista if you have the accounting module for reports

I'm currently writing a php script that will connect to, download, and store the call accounting information into a DB. I've got the call accounting files figured out - being how they are just compressed text files. But the IP log files and MAO log files I'm unsure about. Is there any documentation explaining the format of these files? I believe the IP files represent extension to extension calls but the files seem to be in a binary format. The MAO files are plain text but I'm not sure what they are suppose to represent. If I can get this information and get it all working. I'll be happy to publish a copy of the php script for everyone.
Thanks.

The mao files are a log of changes made to the database (aka. mao)
they can be viewed on the oxe from /usr4/account using "maoview -tf MAOXXXX.DAT" where MAOXXXX is the mao file name.
As for the IP Tickets, check out
http://www.ipview-analyzer.de/ which is I believe written by mr_sven - he should be able to assist in ipview information.
You can also view the IP tickets by ipview -f IPXXXX.DAT (similar to maoview)

Thanks for the information on the MAO files. I've got the IP and TA files decoded already and have a script in place that pulls them from the pbx and adds the records to a MySQL db. I also have it where it will poll all records from both our main and standby pbx. It's a really fantastic thing for us ( my company ) because it's letting us bypass the OnniVista software we have. Which we've found to be very limited in our environment. I need to clean up the code a lot and test it. But I'd be happy to post it once done if anyone else is interested.
