How to configure Management VLAN on OS6360

Hi Guys,

Good day, i am fairly new at alcatel switch (as i mostly handles Cisco, Aruba) and my company manage to purchase 1 for our LAN setup: (small office)
We have two rooms and they assigned 1 switch per room (originally the switch is stack). currently im working on room 1 setup but having issue setting up the management ip and unable to reach the gateway:

topology:
Alcatel OS6360: fiber port 2/1/25 , 2/1/26 > fiber patch panel to Level 2 > fiber patch panel from Level 1 > Fortigate Firewall fiber port 14 (HA)


i assigned a management ip and assign it to a vlan: (also created a separate vlan with a different ip)
interface port is tag to vlan202, and noticed its also automatically tagged to vlan1?

**Not showing the real ip:

Goal:
1. Able to reach the management ip
2. I need to be able to setup a web gui using the assign mgmt ip and able to talk to Fortigate as this is my gateway.
Fortigate FW is also my DHCP server with ip range 10.10.202.1/24.
3. Also need to be able to reach my switch mgmt ip address to setup netflow

Vlan 1:
i also noticed that OS6360 has a befault vlan1, i test to untagged one of my ports (2/1/23), it was removed to vlan 1 now its unable to connect to internet.

script i used to untagged:
-> no vlan 202 members port 2/1/23
->
-> vlan 202 members port 2/1/23 untagged
->
result: port is now missing to vlan 1:

1 2/1/22 default forwarding
??
1 2/1/24 default forwarding


i think we are also using an old firmware, thats why some of the common command A.I provide didnt work:

I don’t think it’s a problem of firmware, when I use AI for AOS 8
results are sometimes wrong. Best is to research in documentation https://www.al-enterprise.com/-/media/a ... v-a-en.pdf

For your problem, I guess you are missing the vlan option in your ip interface then tag your vlan to your port. A port could only untagged one time.
