I'm on a mission to get an upgrade on and old OXE R10 and i've been told by BP that I need to buy new licensing...
I've been considering ALE as long as I can pass on my actual licensing, wich is humongous and very costly to replace.
Do I really need to buy all new licenses?
It's been a long battle, but we moved again our server to another cloud service, protecting ourselves from (sadly) Chinese IP Addresses, which would bring down AlcatelUnleashed. Hopefully, this is now under control. Feel free to contact us through the CONTACT US link at the bottom of this page if you have any question. Happy browsing!

Re: Licensing on OXE R10
ALE uses a software called ACTIS in order to generate configurations, add-ons, and licenses upgrades.
The latest version of ACTIS only allows you to create new systems or upgrade to version R100.1 , R101, and R101.1
So yes - It's costly, but you'll benefit tremendously from new features and phones. I always say.. A phone - even though it does not look like something important - always has an impact on your staff (old phone = feels like company is old as shit) and your customers (old phones = company is not up to date comparing to what other companies offer). Make a test. Walk in an office with an old computer and old phone, then walk in an office with a newer computer and new phone. Feeling will be different!

Also if you had SPS contract, your cost would be probably minimal..
