O2G & ALE softphone: outgoing call not dialled (softphone just rings / Busy state)

Post by smallf00t »

Hi everyone,

I’m using O2G to control all my physical phones: make calls, answer, hold, transfer, etc. For the physical sets everything works perfectly.

For the softphone ALE Softphone 4.0.06 , almost everything works too (answering, holding, transferring…), except dialing a number.

When I ask O2G to place a call using the softphone, the softphone itself just starts ringing locally:

the app goes from foreground to background / disappears,

my status changes to “Busy”,

but the number is never actually dialled and the call is not set up. I need to place a dropme to free it.

I remember that, on the physical sets (UA), we had to configure a programmable key (headset key or similar) to avoid having to validate the call directly on the set.

My questions:

Is there an equivalent setting for the softphone so that O2G can directly place the call without this “local ringing” step?

Do I need to configure a specific programmable key / off-hook / auto-answer option for the softphone?

Is there any known parameter on O2G or on the PBX side that controls this behavior?

Thanks in advance for any hints or configuration examples!
