Hunt-Group --> MLA

Post by HolgerMaune »

Hi,

i need 4 hunt groups which are intersecting each other by one or more users. As far as I know this is not supported by the [DEL] OXO [\DEL] OXE system. I tried to used the Multiline tools as descibed in this very efficient forum :D. I added some virtual users for each group and created primary and secondary MLA buttons. For most of the devices this works fine.

Unfortunately I have the following problems / questions:

1) Is it possible to use the MLA also with DECT GAP handsets?

1b) I configured the GAP as tandem device of a "normal" user, I think I also have to define here a virtual device, but I am not sure.

2) Is is possible that the user answers the call from the primary virtual user without pressing a button on the phone?

Thanks

Holger

This is an OXO question or OXE? If OXO why don't you post on right section??

1. not sure but cannot see why not
2. why? or for what purpose? (if virtual sets are in a hunt group and are supervised maybe you should create a supervision on the tandem,too --->never tested this).
3. you need to check the "take supervision at off hook" on the set that takes the call

Thank you for your help,

If I try to set the secondary MLA at a GAP handset I get the error message "Set unavaible or operator in a bad state". The set is a multiline device. If I try to set the GAP as Tandem of an UA phone the error message is "Forbidden. Device is MLA".

Do you have any idea how to put a GAP handset into a MLA group?

Thank you

I don't think it's possible. I had a similar configuration request. I think I ended up using set supervision instead of MLA, and I put the GAP in tandem with the desk set. I can't remember if the GAP would ring on supervised buttons or not. It has been a few years since I've done it.
