Re: Pswd Recoverly
Its on OXE not OXO. Do you know how to crack it. My serial port is also not responding. Is the remote login command workable.
Re: Pswd Recoverly
Serial port (comA) not responding (no incidents, no console login?)?
1) Ethernet port works (ping to CPU IP address)? If yes - save database via ftp (with password for login adfexc).
2) If database saving OK (and if you know how load new SW and restore database) - restart system with "reset" key on CPU board.
3) If now com port works - login with mtcl, if problem with password - login under root account and change mtcl password with "passwd mtcl" command.

Re: Pswd Recoverly
If the console doesn't respond, you can do a reset by holding Cntrl and hitting g and then c.
Careful though, I have had a GD reboot when issuing this command, which basically took the system down for about 2-3 minutes.

Re: Pswd Recoverly
The simply way to restore implicit password for an oxe, and if you have swinst passwd or 4760i is to restore a standard backup of linux datas.
But, be careful with IP address, if you backup is not in the same IP, you can destroy your link with the OXE... if you are on 4760i.
If you can stop the system, you can restore a linux RAM and edit the passwd file with vi in the ramdisk. You have a TC about datas recuperation on OXE/4400 but it's not a trivial operation if you are not a linux expert user.
