TSAPI Server

Post by allanmarla »

Morning
i get a question, my costumer asks me if i have a TSAPI server. I am not very experienced with this kind of question, this is why i request your help.

The prerequisite are

1.The Alcatel TSAPI Server version 5.0.9 must be installed on the interaction server to ensure communicating to the PABX. 2.This software should be provided by the customer.Ensure that the Alcatel switch has sufficient number 'CSTA monitoring requests' licenses (1 per monitored agent/device)

I do not know if there is already a TSAPI server installed on my OXE 8.0.1 G1.503.20, how can i know about it ?
What about CSTA licences, why do I need them and what can i do with them ?

Thanks about answering

Well,
very much pre-sale question, so kindly please contact your pre-sale guy in your company,
but well in OPS/Actis files for this PBX there should be some openings,
to see what's open see: spadmin and cstainfo but if you don't know what you are doing, i whould strongly recomend to go for some training or consult with experienced presale or service guy, this is very client with CCD.
See some examples:
maybe you got there some genesis software like CTI server (tserver.exe) and then the application could use the already installed server and licenses (no need for extra buy).
also maximum number of CSTA links is limited to 8, so if got some servers (maybe CCx like CCivr, CCemail, CCoutband etc...) connected or planed to be connected, well you will use 8th and the last 'connection slot'.
So, if you don't know what this customer has on site, and what liceses, ask some more experienced serviceman, you could lead this customer to some big troubles.
