ring 4039 and cell phone simultaneously. Programming Help?

I would like to program my DID extension and cell phone to ring simultaneously. So if my 4039 gets a call my cell phone will ring at the same time.

I am not sure if this is done through tandem or remote extension. Anyone can walk me through or send me documentation for this programming?

I have tried without success and have come here for expert advice.

Not sure if it matters but I do have 5 remote extension licenses.

probably not the answer you wanted... but... system docs and search for 'remote extension', I just searched in R8 docs and its all there

Any answer is better than no answer. I just finished downloading the R 8.0 system docs. I found some stuff for remote extension in older docs I had, but it is very convoluted as how to configure it.

So we all had that problem initially, it is only a matter of read, test, understand and make it run. Otherwise for troubleshooting will be a pain in the ass.

sounds about right. It tells you to create a user with set type 'remote extension' yes? also ghost z sets to make the call to your cell etc.. yes?

You need remote extension license + config + multiline key programming + set supervision + take supervision at off hook ticked in remote extension parameters.

Ok I got it to work!

Now how can I have the CLID of the original caller (person placing the call) displayed on my cell phone?

Also can you selective enable/disable it from the main set?

Under System/Other System Parameters/External Signaling Parameters

There is an option for external forwarding NPD or something of the like. This manage this NPD and if your carrier allows you to send numbers you do not own it should work.
