Using fax on Audio codes

Post by btlasisi »

Hello guys,

I need help on audio codes MP 202 soft version 2.6.1 with my OXE f2.502. I can not use FAX on it. I have tried several fax options on Audio codes but it did not work. I will appreciate if anyone can help.

Thanks,
Lasisi

SIP or H.323? Settings on OXE and on Audiocodes?
Check ABPS for interworking report with MP 202.

Hi guys
I have the same problem, and in the ABPS i found only the interworking with OXO.
please suggest to me how to configure the OXE R9 and Audiocodes 2.6.4, I like to use it with sip extension.

Thanks in advance

MP202 supports only SIP and MGCP, SIP T.38 (FAX) is supported in OXE from R7.1 (f5)
so it can not work with your OXE software version f2.502 (R6.1.1). You need a MP112 in H323 version
for your OXE release.

I'm facing now the same issue with MP202.
I can send fax to some types of faxes without problem, but there are others like Canon L100, 120, 140 and some fax servers that I cannot send to. It looks like the MP doesn't recognize the tone the fax gives in order to begin the negotiation.
On receiving it works well from all directions.

OXE R9.0-h1.301-24
MP 118: 5.60A.007.002

MP202 doesn't have an IWR on ABPS so we took for testing an MP118 and configured it as in the R9 IWR march june 2008 ----> same issue as with 202. (OXE same release, MP latest sw release)

I have configured the MP118 with H.323 (MP R 5.00A.045.003) and worked for all types of faxes with configuration as for R8 IWR with MP1xx in H.323 + the following options: open H.245 --->after connect.

I have escalated to the local Audiocodes partner who said that they escalated to Audiocodes ---> untill now (12 days) no reply. I will probably open an eSR to Alcatel, too.

IWR for MP202 on OXE is now available on BPWS, so you should open a ticket and let us know the result after :D

Already solved my problem using MP112's and H.323 trunks. I've returned 202's. However I can provide some fax numbers that I can bet that will not work called from behind OXE and MP202  .
I will not waste my time making R&D jobs for both ALU and Audiocodes.

Hi! I have a problem with faxes on MP-112 FXS - managed through SIP as a SIP device. I would like to try to upgrade firmware, but can not find firmware files. Do someone have it, please? Thanks.
