How To Change Music on Hold

Post by knathan »

Hi,

Can I actually change the Music on Hold. For example put my own music into the PABX it self without using external player?

what is the voice file format inside the pabx?

FYI I am using 4400 system.

Yes you can as long as you have the necesary hardware and software. For software I mean Audio Station, is not free. And by hardware I mean something like a SUVG board for example. If you can do a "config all" in your hardware we may be able to guide you further.

hi,

If you have an GPA board it is very simple:

convert your music file in that format: 8000Hz, 16bits, ADPCM(A-Law), Overall bit rate 64, mono
rename file with ex.: 700_moh (w/o extension)
with ftp cnx put in the pbx directory: /DHS3ext/vg/pc/
- create a VGmessage in System/DynamicVG/Assig/ 700 on GPA board
- import new files in database (Dynamic Voice Guides - Import new files in database)
- put files status=selected (VG Message Number 700)
go to System/Tone, export (or write settings on paper) Voice Guide 2, then erase
go to System/VG create an Voice Guide 700, with mess. lang.1 - 700
go to System/VG create an Voice Guide 2, with mess. lang.1 - 700

and that all
