Jabra/GN Telecom headset, EHS adapter, and 40x8 problems

First a little history on this: I have been testing different headsets with the IPTouch 40x8 phones to be able to make recommendations to customers. These phones use EHS (Electronic Hook Switches) so I did some research and found the appropriate EHS adapters for each model of phones.

According to Jabra/GN Telecom they have different adapters that support the ALU 40x8 phones:

I have the Jabra LINK 14201-20 adapter with the Jabra GN9300e wireless headset.

Here is the problem I am having and I hope you can help. According to the headset manual I should set it to MSH for Alcatel desk phones. If I use this setting then the headset works fine except I get no ringing tone in the headset. According to the adapter manual I should use the DHSG setting on the headset for Alcatel phones. If I use this then I receive the ringing in the headset but no audio when answering or picking up the line. I can see on the display that I am going off/on hook but there is no audio in the head set.

I have made sure that the settings for the jack is set for headset.

Thank you

Did you check the interworking reports available on ABPS regarding Jabra headsets? Maybe this is a known issue.
From what I remember however this type of headset was not covered by the IWR.

I had same problem recently. After calling Jabra technical support, turned out that Jabra headsets recognize only 3 ringtones present on Alcatel phones: nature, standard and cold river. Also, progresive ringtone (or whatever this option is called in english) must be turned off.
