Remove an unkown trunk association?

Post by Primos »

T0 is completely unused, however trunk 5 is associated to something (I'm guessing a phone set that is no longer present). I've checked all the programmed butons and other obvious things, but I can't get rid of this association to free up T0 (so I can use it for an Asterisk box).

Any ideas as to what could be causing this or how to simply clear ALL associations and free this up?

Thanks in advance!

When you delete f.e. access 0-5-0 from trunk group 5 - if this access was used for calls at this moment - you can have some problem:
in 4760 you see - access absent in TG but you cannot allocate this access to another TG.

Solution - use mgr tool and delete access from TG again - f.e. delete access 0-5-0 from TG 5.

mgr will not allow me to delete trunk 0-5-0 because it says it is associated. Associated to what is the question. At one time there was trunk supervision assigned to a phone buttons for the trunks of this trunk group. Don't ask why, crazy owner wanted to see the status of the "lines". He really didn't get the concept of a PBX versus a key system. But these buttons were unassociated, at least I thought. The phone has been upgraded to a newer model phone and I am wondering, what would happen if there was trunk supervision on a button then the phone was upgraded to a newer model. What would happen to that button? I really think the trunk is not associated to anything anymore, but there is a bit flag on the trunk that is not accessible through the mgr interface that tells mgr the trunk is associated to something, that should of been flipped in some process, but wasn't. I have exported every phone buttons setup and gone through to verify that it was not associated. Any other ideas.

For T0 you cannot create "trunk supervision" key. From my practice - if you delete access from TG - you can have case like yours.
Just for example - from TG 5 was deleted access 0-5-0 (with busy trunks).

You can have case - when you try to open access in TG 5 (mgr or 4760) - you have nothing.
If you try to allocate acces to another TG - you have message about association.

If this is your case try to delete (not consult/modify and your need to remember TG number) - in mgr go to access - choose "delete", enter access and TG number. (or reset PBX).

For supervision (but I think this is not your case) - command "multitool REPAIR" and item "repairing supervision"
