Problems with Timestamp between UC and TUI

Has anyone had the problem with different times between htuser and root as this seems to affect the timestamp. It seems that htuser time stamps the email of the voicemail but the root time stamps the TUI message. I have tried a number of Linux based commands to rectify the difference , but there seems to be a constant 8 hour difference between the two times even though they are configured in the same timezone.

Humm weird, never had seen that issue, are you 100% sure both are at the same TZ? Can you verify the .profile in the home directory for both users? (vi .profile)
Also, which TUI are you talking about? Can you describe what you are doing exactly to try to replicate it?

What version of OTUC do you use?
I had a problem in 3.7.173 when UM TUI read out date of time stamp of voicemessage wrong, e.g.if an voicemail is received 1:30 pm today (i.e. 13:30) and user checks it at 4pm, TUI says "received today at 13 hour 30 minute", if check it at 8pm, TUI says "received yesterday at 13 hour 30 minute".. I have got hot fix for this and believe it is fixed in 174A.
Don't know if you have the same problem, just wanted to share.
Thanks much

all ok now. It was the .profile that was the problem as the htuser was still showing as france even though the GUI tools in KDE showed them as the same timezone. Thanks for your help
