enable voicemail for huntgroup

The voice mail option in the hunt group configuration is not used. If you need to send calls to a voice mailbox, you must:
1st create a fictitious extension with voice mail
2nd immediate forward the extension to voicemail
3rd define this extension in the hunt group overflow

Calls will overflow to the voice mail if all group sets are logged out or if all sets are busy.

enable voicemail for huntgroup

Create a normal user (analogue) and do not assign any address (shelf address 255, board address 255, port address 255)

In order for this programming to work over time:

Make sure that the Ghost Z box is checked after creating the Analogue set, otherwise the forwarding is likely to fault after some time passing.

The other thing to be aware of is that for overflow to work you have tom mind the "Autorixed camp on calls %" value. If set to 0 the overflow will work as previously stated in this thread. If not the PBX will put callers in queu before letting them pass to the overflow destination.

Example: Group has 4 members. The camp on calls value is set to 50%. When all group members are logged on to the group, OXE will put 50% of availeble group memebers on queu (in this case 50% of 4 equal 2) before letting the seventh call go immidiately to the overflow destination. If value is set to 0% No one will ever be queued.

Thanks!, yesterday someone told me i could use in stead of an analog set, the uavirtual set.

To my knowledge, the way to go about this programming has always been the use of a Ghost Z programmed virtual analogue set. Waht would be the benefit of a virtual UA set? Experience tells me you could have problems with the virtual UA set working fine for a while, but in a week, a month or so to "let go" of the immidiate forwarding to the voicemail (or other destination). Bug? Does anyone else have the answer to why the analogue programming is recommended over the virtual UA one?

In previous thread patmul39 argued that calls pass to the overflow if all group sets are logged out. In order for that to be useful you have to check the box in your hunt group in order to let the last member log out. Otherwise the last member won't be allowed to leave the group!

Someone told me this solution:

Let the calls for the huntgroup come in on the virtual set. If voicemail is not active you can direct forward to the huntgroup number. If you want the voicemail to be active direct forward to voicemail.

If you use this solution it is perhaps useful to create a key on one of the sets in the group with: 'remote forward prefix+voicemailnbr+virtualsetnbr'
to forward the virtual set to the voicemail.
