murraya wrote:I would definatly increase trunks. If you use CCD and have hybrid loop then 60 more needed (30 per link on hybrid) also the 1/2 coms look low so increase them as well.

Thanks for the info, i do have a hybrid link programed. With all this info in mind ii have amended the trunks to 184 and the 1/2 comms to 200 and will reset system tonight.

I will find out tomorrow if amendments have improved things.

It is clear that the system lacks demicoms. But why ? May be it is a SW bug?

berty wrote:If it is all done properly though ACTIS then you shouldnt have a problem. Was this system configured in ACTIS with all the OPS properly loaded? or was just the SWK loaded?

Everything configured via ACTIS. New OPS installed after upgrade (last year) to accomodate addtional agents. The system evolved from 1 cs with 1 MG to 2 x cs and 2 x MG's. I thought the expansion (as all the users on one site) would just have been a mex card with a new shelf ? But Actis configured an additional GD, maybe for additional compressions ?

Actually you have very old SW version and the last patch available in R8.0 is 12.
Release 8.0.1 (G1.503) is a maintenance Release for R8.0.You'd better switch to 8.0.1 right now if you're running system under production. Last official version I know of is G1.503.35.

Success, fingers crossed, Alcatel-Lucent had found that my hardware mao was not configured correctly by ACTIS. I had purchased the correct licences and the relevant hardware was configured correctly. The number of allowed users in the hardware.mao file only allowed me a specific number of users per board instead of matching with the number of allowed/purchased user (error by ACTIS). Therefore at peak times the system slowed down !!! I have now received revised OPS files and fingers crossed things are looking good !!

Thanks for some of the responces, excellent as usual.
